Murder Hornets, Ice shelf collapses, Covid 19 (obviously) and now… Maskcne. Like we needed anything else. I know it’s not a major problem compared to the above but it’s annoying as heck.
I had basically perfected my skin care routine pre- pandemic and now, like life itself, everything has changed. I have had a surge of pimples and blemishes on my chin and nose. I know I know, chin acne is hormonal but I totally had it under control before I was wearing a mask every time I leave the house. I am sure that added stress hasn’t helped either Image may be NSFW.

I am being proactive in the way one can only be when one has nothing else to do. I am attacking the maskcne chin on! LOL.

Clik here to view.I have been double cleansing, starting with the Sephora Purifiying Grapfruit Exfoliating Wipes. These wipes have a smooth side and an exfoliating side to really clean out those pores. They are also a good price and smell awesome.
I had sort of forgone toner for a while and when my skin started to act out, I brought it back and I am OBSESSED with this product- Caudalie Vinopure Purifying Toner. My skin feels insanely clean after using it and it doesn’t leave the skin tight at all. I love the entire Vinopure line so much!
I have also been using a face mask on my problem areas. I received the Blaq Mask in my Summer Fab Fit Fun box and it has lasted forever. It is a charcoal purifying peel-off mask, so not only is it so good at getting out all the junk from your pores, it is super satisfying to peel off (it’s the little things!)
The last new addition to my routine is Differin Gel, an acne cream that is now available without prescription in the US. I picked it up pre Pandemic at Target. It contains 0.1% Adapalene and I have zero idea what that is except that this gel doesn’t make my skin dry or flakey like other acne products I have tried over the years.
So that is my maskcne attack kit! I am linking my regular makeup routine here!
Let me know if you have also experience maskcne during the Pandemic!
